Visions of Identity - Mother Goddess
In 2000, CADMAD - a collective group of artists from different cultures - conducted a national tour based on the theme 'Visions of Identity'. In Hinduism, like in many other religions, the idea that the divine and self are intertwined runs very strongly throughout the belief system. In Hinduism, the laws of Karma affect how and why our very actions in everyday life are part of religious life as well. In this composition, the two figures to the side of the goddess represent the work and home parts of Indian feminine life.Mixed media, 30 x 40 inches - For enquires into specialist commissions or for this particular piece contact us via email or phone.
